Free Concerts & Music

One of the biggest surprises for first-time visitors is just how much live music is included with admission.

Coca-Cola Stage

One of Canada’s best free summer concert series features major artists across every genre, from country and rock to pop, hip-hop, and EDM.

Wandering Tip: Evening performances fill up quickly. Arrive early if there’s an artist you don’t want to miss.

Nashville North

Country music fans won’t want to miss Nashville North.

Included with admission (18+), this legendary tent hosts some of country music’s biggest names every single night.

Expect long lineups for popular performers.

Free Entertainment

This is where Stampede really shines.

You could spend an entire day enjoying these experiences without paying another dollar.

Dog Bowl

One of our favourite shows every single year.

Watch talented stunt dogs perform agility, dock diving, frisbee tricks, and comedy routines that kids (and adults) absolutely love.

Wandering Tip: Arrive 20–30 minutes early for the best seats.

BMO Kids’ Zone

Interactive shows, character appearances, hands-on activities, games, and family entertainment all day long.

Perfect if you’re visiting with younger kids.

Stage of Wonders

Magic, illusion, escapes, and unbelievable performances throughout the day inside the BMO Centre.

If you only catch one indoor show, make it this one.

Kitchen Theatre

Watch local chefs prepare delicious recipes live while sharing cooking tips and techniques.

It’s also one of our favourite places to cool off indoors during a hot afternoon.

Monster Energy Compound

Freestyle motocross riders launch through the air performing flips, tricks, and gravity-defying stunts.

This show always draws a crowd, and for good reason.

Flying Fools High Dive

One of the newest additions to Stampede entertainment, featuring high dives, comedy, and incredible acrobatics.

It’s quickly become one of our favourite daytime shows.

Stampede Stand-Up

Looking for laughs after exploring the grounds?

Stampede Stand-Up brings top comedians together for evening comedy shows inside the BMO Centre.

Indigenous & Cultural Experiences

These experiences celebrate the traditions and history that have always been part of Stampede.

Elbow River Camp

One of the most meaningful experiences at Stampede.

Explore authentic tipis, meet members of Treaty 7 Nations, learn about Indigenous culture, and experience storytelling, demonstrations, and hospitality.

Wandering Tip: Don’t rush through this area, it deserves far more time than most visitors give it.

Calgary Stampede Powwow

Experience one of Canada’s largest competitive powwows featuring world-class dancers, drummers, singers, and incredible regalia.

It’s an unforgettable celebration of Indigenous culture.

Calgary Stampede Showband

If you haven’t caught them elsewhere, don’t miss another chance to watch one of the world’s most decorated marching bands perform live.

BMO Community Square

The Community Stage celebrates inclusivity and innovation through diverse performances and activities, from GlobalFest cultural showcases and the Robot Rodeo youth robotics competition to Stampede Storytime, line dancing tutorials, and Midway Melodies Karaoke.

Agriculture Experiences

Stampede began as an agricultural exhibition, and it’s still one of our favourite areas to explore.

Included with admission:

  • Animal barns
  • Horse demonstrations
  • Sheep and cattle competitions
  • Agricultural showcases
  • Livestock judging
  • Educational exhibits
  • Farm demonstrations

Even if you didn’t grow up around agriculture, these exhibits are surprisingly interesting, and much quieter than the midway.

Shopping & Exhibits

Stampede Market

Browse hundreds of local vendors, handmade products, home décor, clothing, specialty foods, and unique finds.

It’s the perfect place to take a break between shows.

Western Oasis Art Show

Explore incredible artwork from talented Western Canadian artists inside one of the quieter areas of Stampede Park.

Free Things Most People Miss

These are the experiences we think deserve far more attention.

  • Roaming entertainers throughout the grounds

  • Agriculture competitions
  • Kitchen Theatre demonstrations
  • Elbow River Camp
