Etihad Launches Direct Flights from Calgary to Abu Dhabi Starting October 2026

Etihad Airways is officially launching non-stop flights between Calgary (YYC) and Abu Dhabi (AUH) starting October 25, 2026, making international travel even more convenient for Albertans.
We Got a First Look at Etihad’s Calgary Launch
To celebrate the new route, Etihad hosted two special activations in Calgary.
The first took place at Major Tom, where guests enjoyed an elegant evening featuring entertainment, delicious food and drinks, and a preview of Etihad’s premium travel experience.
The following day, Etihad brought the celebration to CF Chinook Centre, giving Calgarians a chance to experience the airline up close through interactive displays and family-friendly activities. Visitors could explore a Business Cabin seat, discover onboard amenities, enjoy Arabic coffee and dates, take part in giveaways, and learn more about the airline’s growing global network.

A direct connection between Calgary and Abu Dhabi is great news for travellers.
Instead of making multiple connections, you’ll soon be able to fly directly to the UAE and continue onward to multiple destinations through Etihad’s global network.
