This year’s parade promises jaw-dropping floats, high-energy performances, and a celebration of Calgary’s rich western heritage. It’s not just a parade marching down the street. It’s a full-on march through history, tradition, and community pride.

Stampede Parade Must-Knows

Date: Friday, July 3, 2026

Start Time: 9:00 a.m. sharp

Road Closures:

Most roads in and out of downtown Calgary will close on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 7:30 a.m. (6:00 a.m. roads in East Village close)

TIP: Get there early for a good view. The best spots fill up fast!

This Year’s Parade Marshal

Leading the charge this year? The official 2026 Parade Marshal has not yet been announced. Calgary always brings in big names, so expect major star power and keep an eye out for updates as Stampede approaches!

The Parade Route

The parade kicks off at City Hall (9 Ave & 3rd Street SE) and winds its way through downtown before ending at the Stampede Grounds. Plan your viewing spot ahead of time and check the official route map to avoid any surprises.

Bleacher Seating

Want the best seat in the house? Snag bleacher seats through Calgary Rotary West, 31st Calgary Scout Group, or Rotary Centennial. For extra convenience, you can even bundle your bleacher seats with Rodeo or Evening Show tickets via Seating U.

Parade-to-Park Perk

After the parade, head straight to the Stampede Grounds. For FREE! From 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., parade-goers get free admission to the park. That’s your chance to hit the Midway, grab a pancake, and kick off Stampede in style.
