Welcome back to our matcha adventure! We’re on a mission to find the absolute best matcha spots in Calgary, and this time we headed over to the trendy and ever-popular Marda Loop to visit a hidden gem: Joe & Co, located inside Lola Lash Bar.
Yes, you read that right. This cozy little café is tucked inside a beauty bar, but don’t let that fool you. Joe & Co serves up some of the most creative and delicious matcha drinks we’ve tried yet. Naturally, we had to go for their matcha flight, because what better way to get the full experience?
Here’s what we tried:
🍓 Organic Strawberry Oat Matcha
This one was light, fresh, and smooth. It’s not overly sweet, which we really appreciated. You could taste the real strawberries in every sip, none of that artificial syrup. A great pick if you like your drinks more on the natural side.
🥥 Coconut Matcha Cloud
This was the standout for us. Creamy, slightly tropical, and insanely refreshing, basically summer in a cup. The coconut paired perfectly with the earthy matcha, making this our personal favourite.
🍓🍶 Matcha with Strawberry Milk
If you like a little sweetness, this one’s for you. The matcha still shines through, but the strawberry milk adds a dessert-like richness that’s hard to resist. Nostalgic and indulgent in the best way.

Pro tip: The café is located inside Lola Lash Bar, so don’t be confused when you don’t see a traditional coffee shop storefront.
