Hey Wanderers!

Welcome to Episode 1 of our brand new series called “Is It Worth It?” where Adi and I go around Calgary trying different restaurants, experiences, and hidden gems to see if they’re ACTUALLY worth your money 👀

For our very first episode, we decided to check out Thai Siam because honestly… we’ve heard people talk about this spot SO many times that we finally had to see for ourselves 😭

So naturally… we ordered way too much food.

What We Ordered at Thai Siam 👇

Thai Style Chicken Skewers • $16.99

These were SUCH a good way to start the meal. The chicken was juicy, flavourful, and honestly melted in your mouth. Super tender with great flavour throughout.

⭐ Our Rating: 8.5/10

Pad See Ew • $21.99

Okay… this might’ve been one of our favourite dishes of the night 👀

The noodles were perfectly cooked, the flavours were balanced really well, and everything just worked together. It was comforting, savoury, slightly sweet, and honestly one of those dishes you keep thinking about afterward.

⭐ Our Rating: 9/10

Tom Kha Soup • $19.99

If you know me… you KNOW I love Tom Kha soup 😭

Anytime we go to a Thai restaurant, I pretty much have to order it. This one was creamy, comforting, and packed with coconut flavour without feeling too heavy. I even ended up taking the leftovers home because it was THAT good.

⭐ Our Rating: 8/10

Pad Thai • $21.99

You can’t really go to a Thai restaurant and not try the Pad Thai 👀

We got ours with beef and honestly the beef was really nice, the noodles were cooked well, and once we mixed in the bean sprouts and hot sauce? SO GOOD.

It’s definitely one of those safe dishes that most people would enjoy if it’s their first time visiting.

⭐ Our Rating: 8.5/10

Panang Curry • $22.99

This is another dish we almost always order whenever we try Thai food because we both LOVE a good curry 😭

The Panang Curry was rich, creamy, comforting, and paired perfectly with the coconut rice. The flavours were bold without being overpowering, and honestly it just felt like comfort food.

⭐ Our Rating: 8.5/10

Mango Sticky Rice • $15.99

And obviously… after ALL that food, we still needed dessert 😭

This ended up being one of our favourite parts of the meal. The mango was fresh and sweet, the sticky rice was creamy, and overall it was just the perfect way to end everything.

⭐ Our Rating: 9/10

Final Thoughts 👀

Overall, we gave Thai Siam an 8.6/10 ⭐

The standouts for us were definitely the Pad See Ew and the Mango Sticky Rice, but honestly everything we tried was solid and comforting. If you’re craving Thai food in Calgary and want a spot with good portions and flavourful dishes, this is definitely one worth checking out.

And now the important question…

Where should we go for Episode 2 of “Is It Worth It?” 👀

Keep wandering, because we believe we’re all made to wander
