Bike to Work Day aims to encourage individuals to embrace bike commuting as an eco-friendly and healthy alternative to driving cars or taking transit.
Cycling is a great addition to a healthy lifestyle and can be very cost effective – not to mention how much time is saved by not sitting in traffic. BTWD promotes a sense of community. With the effects of climate change weighing on our shoulders, biking to work is a simple way to reduce carbon emissions and our environmental impact.
The main event will be hosted in Delta Gardens, conveniently situated downtown just south of the Peace Bridge. The program includes a complimentary breakfast for participants and exciting bike giveaways generously provided by local bike shops. Additionally, they will have Energy Pit Stops set up both Downtown and in Edworthy Park to further support and engage cyclists throughout the morning. Every cyclist should look forward to getting a free tune-up at any of these pit stops!

Singing since childhood to the dreams rooted through the music of the country’s most prominent pianist, his father, Asim launched his first song at age 15, and at 18 Asim became the youngest to be featured on Coke Studio. Since then, he and his 9 member band have toured the globe with tele of +300 concerts and won numerous awards including Best OST and Best Singer of the year, two years in a row; 2020 and 2021. A cricket fan at heart, and a nationalist by nature, Asim credits his hard work and push from his actor-turned-politician mother, and is all set to hit the milestone of his debut album in mid-2022.
