Live Music at the Calgary Stampede
One of the things that surprises visitors most is just how much live music takes place during the Calgary Stampede.
While many people immediately think of the Coca-Cola Stage or Nashville North, the reality is that Stampede transforms Calgary into one giant music festival. From free concerts inside Stampede Park to ticketed music festivals and nightlife venues across the city, there are performances happening from afternoon until late into the night.
To make planning easier, we’ve broken them into two categories.
Concerts Inside Stampede Park
These venues are located inside Stampede Park and are included with your Stampede admission unless otherwise noted.
Coca-Cola Stage
The Coca-Cola Stage is one of the Calgary Stampede’s most popular concert venues, featuring an incredible lineup of artists spanning country, pop, rock, indie, hip-hop, electronic music, and more.
Concerts are included with your Stampede admission, making it one of the best entertainment values during the festival.
Nashville North
If country music is your thing, Nashville North is a must-visit.
Known for its electric atmosphere, live country performances, and dancing, it’s one of the Calgary Stampede’s signature experiences. Admission is included with Stampede Park entry, but this 18+ venue regularly reaches capacity for major artists, so arriving early is highly recommended.
The Big Four Roadhouse
The Big Four Roadhouse offers a lively mix of live music, DJs, dancing, food, and drinks throughout Stampede.
Most performances are included with Stampede admission, although select special events may require a separate ticket. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a fun party atmosphere without leaving the grounds.
Stampede Concert Series
Hosted inside the Scotiabank Saddledome, the Stampede Concert Series brings internationally recognized artists to Calgary during Stampede.
Unlike the other venues inside Stampede Park, these concerts require a separate ticket and offer a traditional arena concert experience with reserved seating.
Stampede Music Festivals & Concert Venues Around Calgary
The music doesn’t stop at Stampede Park.
Every July, venues across Calgary host special concerts and music festivals that have become just as much a part of Stampede as the rodeo itself. While these events are not included with Stampede admission, they’re incredibly popular and worth checking out if you’re looking to extend the celebration.
Badlands Music Festival
One of Calgary’s biggest Stampede music festivals, Badlands is known for its massive outdoor stage, world-class production, and lineup of internationally recognized electronic artists and DJs.
If you’re looking for high-energy festival vibes, this is one of the city’s premier destinations during Stampede.
Cowboys Music Festival
Cowboys Music Festival is one of the largest and most recognizable Stampede party venues in Calgary.
Hosting everything from country superstars to pop, rock, hip-hop, and international headliners, it’s become a staple of Calgary’s Stampede nightlife and attracts thousands of concertgoers every year.
Electric Summer Nights
Electric Summer Nights brings an energetic dance party atmosphere to Stampede with electronic music, DJs, and late-night performances.
It’s a popular choice for EDM fans looking to keep the party going long after the sun goes down.
Oxford Stomp
Oxford Stomp is an annual outdoor concert that brings together well-known rock, alternative, and country artists during Stampede.
Its festival-style atmosphere and impressive lineups have made it one of Calgary’s most anticipated music events each summer.
Roundup MusicFest
Roundup MusicFest features an exciting lineup of internationally recognized artists across multiple genres in a large outdoor festival setting.
Known for its lively atmosphere and big-name performers, it’s become one of Calgary’s signature Stampede week music festivals.
Wildhorse Saloon
Wildhorse Saloon is a downtown Stampede institution.
Throughout Stampede you’ll find live concerts, DJs, dancing, mechanical bull riding, food, drinks, and one of the liveliest outdoor patios in the city. Whether you’re stopping in for an afternoon performance or a late-night party, there’s almost always something happening.
Grey Eagle Event Centre
Located just outside downtown Calgary, the Grey Eagle Event Centre regularly hosts major concerts throughout Stampede week.
While it’s not part of Stampede Park, many artists schedule Calgary tour stops here during Stampede, making it another excellent option for visitors looking to catch a live show while they’re in the city.

Concerts usually mean long periods standing in the sun.
Bring a reusable water bottle and take advantage of the refill stations around Stampede Park.
Dress for the Weather
