There’s a New Lindt in Banff. Here’s What We Found Inside

If you’re always looking for something new to add to your Banff days, there’s a sweet new stop in town: Lindt has officially opened in Banff.

We visited shortly after opening, and before we even made it through the doors, one little detail caught our attention a miniature gondola carrying Lindt chocolates through the front window.

It’s such a small touch, but somehow it immediately makes the store feel very Banff.

So, of course, we had to head inside and see what else we could find.

What You’ll Find Inside Lindt Banff

Once you walk inside, there’s definitely no shortage of chocolate.

One of the first things you’ll notice is the wall filled with individually wrapped Lindor chocolates, where you can pick from different flavours and build your own mix.

You’ll also find Maitre Chocolatier specialties, gift baskets and plenty of the familiar Lindt favourites.

But what caught our attention most were all the little nods to Banff throughout the store.

There are Banff-themed chocolates and gift packages, including a giant chocolate bar featuring Banff Avenue. If you’re visiting the Rockies and want to bring something home that actually feels connected to your trip, these make for a fun souvenir or gift.

And then there’s the part of the store we were probably most curious about.

There’s a Lindt Chocolate Bar Inside

Toward the back of the store, you’ll find the Lindt Chocolate Bar.

Behind the counter, you can actually see chocolate flowing while they serve a selection of chocolate drinks along with Crema Gelata in cups or cones.

Naturally, we weren’t leaving without trying something.

We Tried the Chocolate Mix Crema Gelata

We ordered the Chocolate Mix Crema Gelata in a cone and shared it between the two of us.

And this isn’t just soft serve dropped into a regular cone.

Ours came as a chocolate and vanilla mix topped with melted Lindt chocolate and a crispy chocolate piece.

But the best part might actually be waiting at the bottom.

Keep eating your way down the cone and you’ll eventually reach another layer of chocolate inside the bottom of the cone.

Trust us that last bite hits different.

The cone was $7.79 before tax, or approximately $8.38 after tax, when we visited.

We shared one between the two of us, and with how rich it was, that was perfect for us.

Is Lindt Banff Worth Adding to Your Day?

We think so but we also wouldn’t tell you to drive all the way to Banff just for Lindt.

And that’s actually what we like about it.

If you’re already wandering Banff Avenue, it’s an easy little stop to add to your day. You can browse the Lindor wall, pick up one of the Banff-themed chocolates, grab something from the Chocolate Bar or simply pop in to see what’s new.

It’s another experience you can work into a Banff day without needing to completely plan your day around it.

And even though we went straight for the Crema Gelata this time, we’ve already decided what we’re trying on our next visit:

the hot chocolate.

Because hot Lindt chocolate on a cold day in the Rockies sounds like a combination we need to investigate.

One More Stop for Your Next Banff Day

We’ve been to Banff more times than we can count, and maybe that’s exactly why finding something new there is still so much fun.

It’s easy to think you’ve already done Banff.

You’ve walked Banff Avenue. You’ve seen the mountains. You have your favourite restaurants and the places you always stop at.

But your day doesn’t have to look the same every time you go back.

Sometimes it’s discovering a trail you’ve never walked, trying a restaurant that’s been sitting on your list, exploring without your car or apparently, finding a chocolate shop with a tiny gondola carrying Lindt chocolates through its window.

That’s what wandering is really about for us.

Wander over to Lindt on your next Banff day, because we believe we’re all made to wander — and there’s always something new to discover, even in a place you already love.
